Do you want to hear the sound of nature during a weekend getaway? Do you want to stay in a peaceful environment surrounded by trees and birds or by mountain streams and peaks?

If you are looking for such an experience, if you are ready for a remote escape, to have the time to think and to be surrounded by peace: cabins in the forest or in the mountains were designed for you.

More and more people feel the need to scale down to an absolute minimum, to live by only the essential facts and to cast aside the vast carbon footprint of our industrialized society.

Some architects and hôteliers have been inspired and have created these cabins in unusual locations: built with non-polluting, natural or sometimes recycled materials, they are often coupled with solar or geothermal heat pumps.

One of the main objectives for these cabins is to become part of the natural environment, to disappear into the wilderness. It is essential not to damage the site where they are located.

A cabin might be first be considered as a small structure, a kind of monk’s cell - uncomfortable. The reality is very different thanks to the expertise of their designer. You can imagine a 20 square-meter cabin with a sleeping area, a shower and toilet, a large glass window to connect with the exterior opening onto a wooden terrace. Allow yourself to be immersed in your surroundings – to live simply and comfortably.
